Android Police Team Uses Nextcloud for File Management

Android Police Team replaced Google Photos, Drive, and Gemini with free open-source alternatives, highlighting Nextcloud for file management. Nextcloud allows users to save files on personal servers or devices, offering flexibility in storage management.

The team noted that while Nextcloud requires initial setup, once configured, it simplifies file management and supports automatic media backups. Desktop clients for Windows, Mac, and Linux are also available.

Despite the need for users to manage storage capacity and backups, Nextcloud’s self-hosting capability is seen as a significant advantage for those prioritizing data control and privacy.
