Users of the Nextcloud Android app are experiencing issues with list duplication, upload failures, and unexpected file deletions.
Several users have reported bugs within the Nextcloud Android app, impacting functionality related to note synchronization and file uploads. One user noted that grocery lists are duplicated, while another experiences ‘unknown’ errors during uploads, particularly with larger files exceeding 1GB, and regular photo/video uploads often fail entirely.
A significant concern raised by a user involves the deletion of files from the local file system when folders are removed within the app. This behavior results in permanent data loss, as files are removed from both the online storage and the device’s local storage, a feature the user finds unacceptable.
The app reviews indicate a need for Nextcloud GmbH to address these issues, including the synchronization of notes and the handling of file uploads and deletions, to improve the user experience and prevent data loss.
